Emily & Dillon | A Parker Manor Wedding | The Springs Event Venue (Weatherford)

Its hard to describe how amazing this wedding day was without first talking about how we met Emily & Dillon. These two came walking up to us at the Springs Open House in matching scrub uniforms. Lukes eyes locked onto Dillons...well, beard and the conversation just took off from there. We instantly felt a magnetism to this couple and left that evening only hoping we would hear from them again.

They must have felt the exact same way as it wasn't long before we ended up taking them out to my favorite field for the most laughter filled engagement session I have ever been a part of. They had me laughing so hard at times I nearly peed... I fell in love with their sense of humor and fun loving nature. It was clear to me that Emily & Dillon were not your ordinary couple and we had to keep our eye on these two for little surprises.

On the wedding day we had the most gorgeous October day. It was beautiful, and I was stoked as this was my first time photographing a wedding at the brand new Parker Manor. This venue brought me back to memories of Charleston with the stunning white plantation style building and wrap around porches. I was in awe that this venue was right here in Texas.

Walking into the Bridal suite I noticed that Emily's career as a nurse was evident, she had set up an entire counter of healing remedies and anything you could possibly ever need in case of an emergency. This came in handy for me when I accidentally stood in an ant bed, she had cortisone cream ready to go for my ant bites. I guess that's one of the perks of having Nurses on hand, even for minor boo boos like mine.

If you follow us on Instagram you would most remember this couple for their dramatic cake cutting. Did I mention that these two loved their practical jokes? Instead of slowly cutting into their wedding cake, Emily drew up her knife and ninja chopped her cake to smithereens. It was a shock to see in person but came at no surprise and guests laughed right along with them. Not being heavy on traditions they turned a somewhat null moment into something we will never forget. Poor Dillon though, he nearly lost a thumb but he was in on the prank as well and said it was worth every fearful second.

Emily & Dillon successfully put on a show that kept us wanting more all day long. From walking down the aisle to Bohemian Rhapsody, a show stopping first dance (not only with the bride and groom but with their parents too), Emily also surprised us with her amazing vocal talents when she stole the show and sang with the band. It was an exciting and energetic night that ended with a trumpet march and bubble filled kiss.

I am overwhelmed with the memories of this amazing day and am so happy we were there to be a part of it. I am so excited to share these images and allow you to get to know this incredible couple. There are dozens of favorites here!!! Enjoy!
