Whitney & Alan | The Barn at Cottonwood Ranch Wedding

Updated: Apr 17, 2020

It was a beautiful day in January which is something we dont normally get to say. Luke and I were really fortunate to have escaped the cold weather that we left behind in Texas for this weekend. Thank goodness too because this was a wedding we had anticipated for quite some time and we wanted it to be absolutely perfect for Whitney & Alan.

The day we met our bride Whitney we also met her adorable family. They introduced themselves to us at one of our Bridal Shows we attended in Jacksonville. We had a lot to talk about and the conversation just kept going. It seemed like the perfect fit when we learned that this was a family with a history in Cheerleading and Dance. Whitneys dad had been the head coach of the Cheer department at the University of Florida and y'all should have seen me light up like a Christmas Tree when I found out. Cheer & Dance had been a part of my life for over 15 years and it still holds a piece of my soul today. From that moment it was crystal clear that it was all meant to be....Go Gators!

Anyways, on the wedding day I turned to Luke and warned him to expect the unexpected at a wedding full of cheerleaders and dancers. Boy was I glad I had prepared him as the night was full of surprise dance performances that blew us all away. Halfway through the evening Whitney, Alan and all their guests were invited outside for the most epic of wedding gifts from Whitneys Dad. It was the most spectacular firework show I had ever seen. We were completely mesmerized and it was the perfect way to set the mood for a night full of dancing and fun.

Whitney & Alan you are an amazing couple and we love your energy together. I don't think there is a better way to kick off a marriage than with all of the love and excitement that came from an evening like yours. You warmed our hearts with the love in your vows and left a lasting impression with all those dance moves. You have a unique and beautiful story that we feel honored to have been able to capture for you. We hope you enjoy reliving some of these moments from your wedding day in this blog post.
