Kylie & Nick Wedding Blog | 600 King Wedding | Jacksonville, FL Wedding

We had been shooting back to back weddings for weeks now and this was our last wedding before a two week break. It was definitely a good one to end with!! The energy and joy left us so thankful for the sweet couples that we get to call our own! Kylie and Nick have infectious smiles… and if you think they seem happy in these images you should see how happy they are in real life. They are the cutest couple. They are totally obsessed with one another in the best way and you could just feel how ready they were to be husband and wife!

When I first heard of their wedding venue 600 King, I did a quick google search to check it out. By the looks of this super cool venue I knew this was going to be an urban yet retro vibe style wedding. It’s so fun when couples do something a little different from all of the trends! Their venue played into this inspiration perfectly. With the all white cement room, frosted glass garage doors, exposed beams and hanging lights it was such a cool space and setting for this reception!

The outside of the building is painted with beautiful murals and Kylie mentioned wanting to take photos along the building. At first I was a little hesitant. The area with the murals was surrounded by cars and I was unsure how long it would take to get them moved but once we did I was so thankful, because it was a portrait-location goldmine! The pops of green went perfectly with her flowers and theme. I loved how the bridesmaids dresses looked against the colors of the mural, you could tell Kylie had planned for this.

This Reception was full of memories and fun but one moment we can't forget was when Nick planned a little surprise for his mom during the mother son dance. His dad picked up a guitar and played an original song along with the band for them to dance too. It was a musical surprise and dad was VERY talented! My favorite part of the night however was when Kylie requested a Sir Mix a Lot song and everybody in the building danced their hearts out to Baby Got Back. It was hysterical and so much fun to watch everyone sing all the words together. You couldn't help but join in on the singalong fun and that's exactly what we did.

We left the evening with giant hugs from our bride and groom and even their parents who kept thanking us for being a part of this special day. It's always a great feeling when families want us to know that they appreciate us but really I just want them to know how much we appreciate them! I am thrilled to share these blog images and hope that Kylie & Nick have celebrated a wonderful honeymoon together and are ready to look back at their wedding day with as much joy as we have going through these images.
